I found out yesterday that Senator Pat Roberts nominated me to be a 2019 Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) Angels in Adoption Honoree, and CCAI accepted the nomination. It’s nice that Sen. Roberts acknowledges that we need more community support to help fosters and such an honor will hopefully spur others to come forward to be foster parents, advocate and mentor for foster children, and support those in their churches and community organizations who serve in those capacities.
